Sarabjeet Dhody Natesan is a political economist working in the areas of macroeconomics, public policy and the economics of conflict, and has written extensively on the subjects. She grew up in the early refugee colony of Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi, leading to her involvement both personal and professional in post-Partition life, especially with regard to refugee resettlement and the rebuilding of businesses. As the child of parents who experienced the singular travails of Partition, ethnographic memory studies form an important part of her work. She has taught economics at university level for many years, and is associate professor of economics at Krea University, Andhra Pradesh. She lives in Chennai.
Forthcoming from Running Head is her memoir, a unique account of what it felt like to experience a post-Partition childhood.
